Once the digital model has been completed, the piece moves into the artistic refinement stage. This is where the experience, judgement, and craftsmanship of our professional artists become central to the process. Each portrait is individually refined by hand, with careful attention given to realism, delicate detail, and the natural character of the person being remembered.
We do not stop at a basic likeness. Our artists study the subtle features that make someone instantly recognisable — the balance of facial proportions, the warmth of an expression, the life within the eyes, the gentle curve of a smile, and the natural flow and texture of the hair. Through trained observation and artistic skill, these details are carefully shaped to create a portrait with greater depth and authenticity.
Years of sculptural experience are especially important when interpreting the finer details that photographs alone cannot always fully capture.
