Digital Reconstruction

Once the photographs have been received, we move into the digital modelling stage. Using advanced three-dimensional reconstruction technology, the flat image references are gradually transformed into a lifelike 3D portrait model. The system analyses facial structure, proportions, and spatial relationships within the photographs to build an accurate foundational form.

During this stage, particular attention is given to the contours of the facial features, face shape, head proportions, and overall posture, ensuring the model appears natural and well-balanced in three-dimensional space. Where multiple photographs or video references are provided, a fuller range of visual information can be used, helping to improve both the accuracy and completeness of the model.

Beyond the basic form, we also aim to preserve the individual characteristics visible within the photographs, such as hairstyle direction, facial feature placement, expression outlines, and other recognisable details that contribute to a true sense of identity.

The purpose of this stage is to create a strong and accurate digital foundation for the artistic sculpting and fine detailing that follows, allowing the finished piece to faithfully carry the person’s likeness and memory.
